Since its inception, Gastier has been a pioneer in occupational health and safety.
Our proactive, forward-thinking and exemplary approach involves every one of our employees so that all projects entrusted to us meet the highest quality standards. Only a safe and responsible environment enables us to achieve nearly 1.2M hours per year, with an annual incident rate among the best in the industry.
Our absolute commitment:
Occupational health and safety
At Gastier, our commitment to health and safety is at the heart of all our priorities. Our top priority is to ensure the health and safety of our employees. This philosophy is embedded in every aspect of our organization. We invest in continuous training, implement rigorous procedures and practices, and ensure constant supervision on all our worksites.
This culture deeply rooted in our values is reflected in our daily practices. Working in an industry where the hours are many, we are proud to say that there has not been a single lost-time accident in our company. This achievement is no accident, but rather the result of collective commitment at all levels.
Our efforts are supported by dedicated management committees, active joint committees and committed ambassadors. Equipped with a team specialized in prevention, health and safety at work, we constantly strive to raise our standards and create an optimal working environment.
We actively promote health and safety management principles and safe working practices. We are committed to continuous improvement of our health and safety management system.
To guide our employees in their daily work, we provide them with forward-thinking tools such as the Pro-Act initiatives, the safety pause, as well as the 12 golden rules, and many more. In addition, we offer comprehensive training programs enabling our employees to acquire and maintain the knowledge and skills needed to work safely. This includes accompanied and comprehensive worksite induction.
At Gastier, health and safety are not just priorities, but core values that guide our every action and decision every day.
Zero Accident Objective !
Because we see ourselves as a true leader in occupational health and safety, we've opened our own training center dedicated to teaching best practices to our employees.
We have been recognized by the Ministère du Travail du Québec, de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité Sociale as a certified HSE training center. Thanks to this accreditation, over 10,000 hours per year have been dedicated to training. In addition to this certification, we are also certified by the Commission des Normes, de l'Équité, de la Santé Sécurité au Travail (CNESST) and the Association paritaire pour la santé et la sécurité au travail du secteur de la construction (ASP).
